Garlic hair treatment

Yes you heard it right!!!

Turns out garlic hair oil is a great thing apart from the famous onion oil. Although the smell is horrendous and no one will be able to take a bath after you, it will make your hair smooth and silky.

It all started out with my neice being forced to put garlic on her hair as her hair treatment program. She did not like this in contrast to the procedure her mother used on her. Well she has been in Bangalore (away from her mother) for almost 2 months now. She is here with her grandmother. but coming back to the point that garlic made her entangled hair smooth and silky. Why is that? Let's find out

Garlic WHY???

Popular in many cuisines and home-food for the punch it packs garlic contains many substances that act as a medicine. But garlic has one more trick up its sleeves, hair loss treatment. Many people are facing hair loss (a specific type called alopecia areata) in the world but none want to take care of the problem and let it grow. The patches get bigger until it is too late.

According to a study garlic contains vitamin C, selenium and sulphur which boost hair growth and blood circulation in the head. Anti-microbial properties of garlic kill bacteria and germs on the scalp and in the hair making room for more hair to grow and strengthening grown hair. Vitamin C helps in improving hair health and boosts collagen production.

A research in Indian Journal of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprology has a study regarding the efficacies of garlic gel when used on hair and scalp. They recorded data from 40 participants for 3 months. Their results say that using garlic gel significanlty assisted in reducing redness and itching on the head when a person is affected by alopecia areata.

Here is graph from their results:

EDIT: Next morning my hair is still smooth and softer than before. Looks like garlic would do the trick in getting back my lost hair and would make it smooth.

Mother's Day Special

A life-giver, a caretaker, a guide and a friend, a mother goes through all these phases, maybe in order, to nurture her child and make him/her independent in this fast pacing world. Our care to our mothers should not be limited to the 10th May 2020, but to all the days of the year. Making her feel proud, dependable are the only things she wants. So, why not spend some time to nurture her instead, make her aware of your world? And, what's better than breaking the ice with a small gift card? So, let's make a gift card for her to show her some appreciation for her god-like work and her endeavouring life.

Come to think of it, have we ever tried to learn what our mothers wanted to do? She also led a similar life to ours during her ages. She also had some passions. Maybe she was able to fulfil them after our birth or maybe our birth was the reason she abandoned her hobby or profession. This could be one of the topics to start a discussion. Maybe, help her to use technology to rekindle the fire in her heart, motivate her to make videos, join some online groups of like-minded people or just help her see the advancements in her field. This could be a way to breakdown the lockdown blues. Maybe just the thought of help could give her hope.

Our mothers also lead a different life, apart from her passion, as the housekeeper. In these questionable times, she is working round the clock to maintain the house. The virus spread has also taught us about the importance of hygiene. We can extend her hand by taking over some of the household chores like mopping the floor, washing the dishes, making some evening snacks or even a whole dinner for a day.

During the lockdown, I am proud to say that I was able to help her pursue her passion,  keep the house clean, learn more about her and get closer to her. My mother is a professional artist, an experienced teacher, a loving mother and a dependable friend. Before lockdown, she used to run art classes at her place by the name of Varsha Arts. Now, it is Varsha Arts online class. I helped her set up a desk, gave her my laptop, didn't just push her but forced her to sit and draw, not just for the students she has but also as a to escape to her world. I do sweep and sometimes mop the floor every day. I started doing the dishes. Tried my hand at making potato fries, tea, which turned out to be just coloured water, for snacks. Made longer conversations with her and occasionally massaged her hands and feet.

Although what I did for her was considered a small token of help during this lockdown, I urge all of you to do the same. Why just during the lockdown, let's extend ourselves beyond this period to help our mothers and give her some meaning to Mothers Day.

My world of Gaming

I am an avid gamer. But due to continuous exams I haven't played any good video games for the past year :( .
I started gaming at the age of 9 with need for speed underground 2. Then I played most wanted for a very long time. Back then I was all into racing and did not even think to play anything else.
My cousin introduced me to grand theft auto 2. I loved the game but played only police chases because I never understood the missions. There was this car called z which was the fastest and I was flawless in driving and never got busted through my car.
Next I started playing counter strike with my cousins and I mastered it in no time. Be it grenades, shotguns, rifles or snipers I always lived through 4 to 5  rounds continuously. Dedust2 was and still is my favorite map.
After seeing the development in games I was inclined to high end graphics games. Assassin's creed caught my eye. Though it was their first installment, I loved it.

I am going to start a gaming blog soon and I will make sure to provide accurate information regarding any game. If you want to know about any new games or old ones like from the time of Doom or Quake (the time when Microsoft had released Direct) the post it in the comment section below and I will put it up on my new blog.

A new day a new Beginning

English Exam is on its way and all into reading various blogs that help me in my course.

CBSE English is a perfect blend of language and literature. The language section aptly tests The ability to write maturely and stick to the point. There is one good thing in the question that the topic gives many clues as to what you can write. It saves time of thinking about points. It also helps in framing the composition giving more marks.

Coming to Literature, IT IS BORING. All the chapters either portray the pathetic condition of people or have a tragic end. This disinterests me and I end up reading Lord of The Rings.

In 10th Grade when I was in ICSE the English chapters were much more interesting. For example, The road not taken is such an intuitive poem by Robert Frost. The Case for the defence, The Umbrella Man, The Sniper are stories that grip the reader. I still remember each and every detail of those stories as they were so interesting and the fact that I read them a million times already.

I request my reader to look through these stories as they are amazing!!

Sorry for not blogging!!!!!

Hey guys I am extremely sorry for not blogging for about 4 months now.

To put it together, school is over and I am preparing for my 12th CBSE Board Exams now. My juniors had conducted a grand Graduation Party at Loft 38 in Indiranagar. Graduation Ceremony is also over and I don't have to got to school anymore (YES!!! :)).

After A Long Time

I haven't posted for a very long time and that is because of my weird school and tuition timings. I go leave at 6 pm for a class which begins at 7:30 pm and return back home at 10 or 10:30 in the night. Thus, I get no time to post. My 12th pre-board exams begin tomorrow with English. JEE(Joint Entrance Exam)(an Indian examination for students who want to pursue engineering) preparations take away the rest of my time. I literally study more than I sleep or play. Gaining weight at a tremendous speed has also made me lethargic.

I am keen to know about your suggestions which I must follow in order to become active.

A Long Road Trip

On last Sunday I had been on a long road trip to Dehradun. The trip was am exciting one. We travelled about 200 kilometres in our WagonR.

On the way from noida to Dehradun the first leg of the journey was very nice maybe because of the good toll road. The next leg was on government road known for its potholes and long repairing sessions due to which traffic is diverged to another route.

While going towards Dehradun we stopped at Namaste Midway. Namaste Midway is a kind of one stop eat kind because you have McDonald's, Haldiram's and some Chinese cuisine restaurant there. On our way back we stopped at Moolchand's resort. Moolchand's is a famous chain of eateries in delhi. My cousin said they had amazing paranthas and we ate just the same.

P.S.:Couldn't post this earlier
